Store App Ideas

Sorry couldn't really think of a good title for it.  But the idea is when you walk into a store to go shopping for a large number of items it would be kinda nice to be able to know how much you are going to spend as you are loading up your cart right?

Lets use a grocery store as an example.  Say you walk into said grocery store.   Open up their app on your smart phone and go to a section in the app labeled something like "Scan as you shop"  It doesn't check out for you.  There are too many theft risks with that.  What it does do is allow your phone to have access to the price book of the store you are in and allow you to scan everything you put into your cart using your camera on your phone as a barcode scanner as you put it in the cart notating any sales, specials, taxes, restrictions, etc that store may have to calculate and it will keep a running accurate total as you shop.  If you think you are going to run over your budget you can delete items from the list of things in your cart as you put them back and it can list alternatives and where to find them in the store.

Shopping with a list?  Input your list into the store app and it will rearrange the items for you when you walk into the store based on the most efficient route through the store's individual layout and will warn you if you are about to pass something on your list.  It would also create a cost range of what everything on your shopping list could cost if you don't specify brands or types.
